Renovation of the Dsquared2 clothing store

The Dsquared2 store at 9 Mitropolitou Iosif St. in the heart of Thessaloniki was built in collaboration betweensmartcon and the Italian architectural practice _storage associati. _storage associati, who have designed the Dsquared2 worldwide, were chosen by the brand itself and prepared the architectural design. Smartcon did the actual building work on the store and obtained all the necessary permits and authorisations from the local authorities and organised the worksite.
The store is laid out over three levels. Minimalist lines coupled with a range of materials and a special lighting scheme are noticeable features of the store. The combination of black glass and mirrors, polished stainless steel and matt black metal surfaces and industrial flooring teamed with carpets, and the use of various types of wood (untreated tree trunks, specially treated chipboard surfaces, wooden floors, and black lacquer) and the way in which details around the store have been picked out using the lighting features all create the sense of a stylish, sleek scheme.
Renovation works were completed in 5 months.
